Description

The Portsmouth Rotary Club and Friends of the Portsmouth Juvenile Court, in cooperation with the Portsmouth Police Department, will host FREE screenings of two ground-breaking documentary films on critical issues affecting children. Resilience, The Biology of Stress & the Science of Hope, chronicles the biological syndrome caused by childhood abuse and neglect. Tricked: Inside the World of Teen Sex Trafficking shows how teens are scouted, manipulated and trapped in a 9.8-billion-dollar industry.

The films will be shown on Thursdays in October beginning on October 10 with Resilience at 2:00, followed by Tricked on October 17 at 2:00. Resilience will be repeated on October 24 at 4:00, followed by Tricked on October 31 at 4:00.

Information and resources will be available at each screening. Neither film is suitable for young children.
