Enjoy a leisurely loop as we hike up Mitchell Canyon to Black Point Trail. Experience the sights and sounds of local wildlife as we gradually climb to vista points within the state park. This route follows Mitchell Creek and hopefully it will be flowing by our outing, bringing to life a well-established riparian ecosystem. Also see a greening chaparral ecosystem - one that covers a large part of Mt. Diablo as well as California. Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots recommended. Heavy rain cancels.
