Event description

Description

Join King Conservation District and Horses for Clean Water in this workshop to create your own reusable products and leave with ten easy take – home tips to make changes in your household today. Plastics have become an insidious part of our everyday lives. Over 300 million tons of plastic is produced annually. Every year, more than 8 millon tons of trash enters the oceans. Scientists have predicted that with the increased amount of plastic in our oceans and waterways fish populations will be outweighed pound for pound by 2050. Young fish rely on plankton as a food source as they grow. Today there is a 1:2 ratio of plastic to plankton. Attend this FREE workshop to learn about the plastic cycle and what each of us can do to break it.

BONUS: Meet the bag monster at this family–friendly event!
