The 43rd Annual Holiday Tour of Homes

Savannah, GA | Saturday, December 9, 2017

Savannah’s Holiday Tour of Homes features exquisite architecture, beautiful furnishings, and gracious hospitality. This intimate tour experience allows guests to look “behind the doors” at some of Savannah's most beautiful private residences, festively decorated Historic Inns and culturally significant Museum homes.

*Funds from the tour support the Downtown Savannah Association local community grant program.*


  • Tour of Homes I: 10 am - 2 pm

  • Tour of Homes II: 1 pm - 5 pm

Each of these tours features eight private homes, three Museum Houses in Savannah’s Historic Landmark District AND the Massie Heritage Center.

The Museum Houses:
- Andrew Low House, an Italianate mansion where Juliette Low founded the Girl Scouts of America
- Harper Fowlkes House, a Greek Revival Mansion, beautifully furnished with antiques.

-Green-Meldrim House, one of America's finest and most lavish examples of Gothic Revival architecture, served as General Sherman's headquarters during his occupation of Savannah.

-Massie Heritage Center, a resource center for living history featuring original Georgia school system building, classroom, period costumes, and information on local history and historic preservation.

  • Tour of Homes I + INN TOUR

  • Tour of Homes II + INN TOUR

This option adds 5 festively, decorated historic inns to your tour. Inn may only be visited from 12:30-3:30 pm.
Historic Inns:

- The Ballastone Inn
- Eliza Thompson House
- The Gastonian
- Savannah Bed and Breakfast
- The Kehoe House

  • Full Day Tour

For those who want the full tour experience. The Full Day Tour ensures you won't miss a house, inn or museum. This option provides the most flexibility and time to explore all 12 of the wonderful private homes, five inns and the four museums on this year's tour.

Where you start your tour

Tour Headquarters will be at Bryson Hall located at 5 East Perry Street on Chippewa Square. This is where you will begin the tour by picking up your tour guide book. The guide book is your required ticket for entrance into the tour locations.

Please note:

  • Touring private homes is a special experience. Some will be decked with elaborate Christmas decorations, other homes will be more understated to reflect the holiday traditions specific to the family. All the homes and Inns on the tour will have beautiful interiors.

  • This is a self-guided walking tour, and the private houses will not be handicapped accessible.

  • Wheelchairs and strollers can not be allowed inside the houses.

  • Well behaved children who are interested in adult activities are welcome, but must also pay full ticket price.

  • No photography will be allowed.

Refund Policy: Due to the fundraising nature of the Holiday Tour of Homes, we do not offer refunds. Should you need to transfer your ticket to a friend, please contact us to make appropriate arrangements.
