Description

Humanities Iowa and Iowa Business Growth present!

In their Debut Touring performance of The Nitch, Satyrus Jeering's masked Cohort will be joined by multiple artistic acts in a Variety Style show heralding a return to the era of Vaudeville Theater Circuits in Iowa.

INTRODUCING OUR ALL-IOWAN CAST & CREW!

A Visual Variety of Veritable Feats!

Based on the acclaimed children’s fantasy book, Satyrus Jeering’s The Nitch is a wildly raucous theatrical event wherein Mr. Jeering’s bookselling Cohort of three masked players continually work to thwart each others attempt at reading the book to the audience. Throughout their bumbling attempt at sharing The Nitch, a myriad of comedic scenarios unfold in a pie flying spectacle of literary buffoonery.

Witness Fantastical Flights!

The tour will include acrobatic feats by Iowa Fly Girl, Felicia Coe!

Felicia Coe is Iowa’s premier aerial instructor, having established and operated Iowa’s first aerial teaching program in 2012, making her the states first aerial coach; she is a pioneer of the Iowa aerial community. She has produced over 50 shows and events since moving back to Iowa in 2011 with a focus on creating performance opportunities for amateur and up and coming performing artists. http://www.iowaflygirl.com/

Feast your Ears upon a Maelstrom of Musical Marvels!

Each engagement will include the musical stylings of an Iowa based singer songwriter, including such talents as Ryan Stier, Matt Woods, Brooks Strause, Tommy Boynton and many more.

Behold! Visual Invigorators

Des Moines own Portrait Studio will be along for the ride, not only to offer uniquely abstract portraits in the lobby before and after the show, but also to join us on-stage as part of a living backdrop! A lucky audience participant will have their likeness immortalized throughout the show. www.portraitstudioworkshop.com

Elementary, Dear Watson!

Mr. Jeering’s masked Cohort; Taxus, Vulpus and Hairbrain are planning pre-emptive stops to the towns in which The Nitch will play, to introduce story and engage the students of local Elementary Schools in a comedic yet educational bit.

We are proud to announce that…

IPR is along for the ride.

Iowa Public Radio will be recording select musical pieces along the tour route, for later broadcasting around the state.

WE HOPE YOU WILL JOIN US IN A GRAND CELEBRATION OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT!
