About this event
Film Fatales members in New York are invited to an in-person picnic in Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn on Saturday September 17th at 12pm ET.
Excited to meet creative collaborators? Missing the company of like-minded artists, or simply curious individuals to connect with? Join us for our summer in-person mixer!
This is a private event for current Film Fatales members and their personal guests in New York. We will be outside but please maintain social distance; masks are welcomed but not required. Kids and pets are welcome.
Bring Your Own Picnic. Grab a chair, a blanket and lunch and join the group! You will receive a confirmation email as well as a reminder the day of with the specific location and directions to the picnic. Feel free to also stop by the Transcendent Storytelling Panel at the Gotham Expo before heading over to the Film Fatales picnic. See you soon!

Who is participating?
This private in-person mixer is for current members of Film Fatales and their personal guests.

Yes, we strive to create a safe safe for parents in all capacities.
When will I receive the location and directions?
You will receive detailed directions including the specific meet-up location within the park on the day before the event. Thanks!

We are committed to creating a safe space where filmmakers can gather and support one another. If you are feeling any symptoms of illness, or have been in contact with anyone has has, please stay home. Be respectful to other participants. Avoid assuming people’s needs, gender identities, and/or backgrounds. Creating an inclusive space requires acknowledging existing power dynamics. If you are from a dominant or privileged identity please practice making space, through listening, unseating yourself, and passing the mic. If you are from a historically marginalized group, please practice taking up space, sharing your ideas, and raising your voice.

We advocate for hiring equality and inclusive programming practices by working with key decision makers to expand the talent pool and raise the visibility of underrepresented creators.
