Description

Southern Anti-Racism Network (SARN) will celebrate its 20th anniversary in Durham NC on Friday, November 9, 7pm at Hayti Heritage Center. Luci Murphy, founding member of SARN, will emcee the event and sing from her amazing repertoire. David Rovics, folk singer and songwriter of international acclaim based in Oregon will sing his messages of freedom and justice for all. Fruit of Labor Singing Ensemble, well known in North Carolina as the cultural arm of the Black Workers For Justice are expected to have us all on our feet with their call to action songs.

Mayor Steve Schewel, City of Durham, will issue a special proclamation to mark the occasion. Awards will be presented to long-time supporters of workers' rights. Anne Wolfley, SARN Board Scretary Emeritus, will receive the Richard Paddock Reliable Ally Award in appreciated for her many years of service in building SARN.
