In this guest webinar, Sarah Rothstein, a chemist with Nalas Engineering Services in USA, will discuss the process to produce 2,6-diaminopyrazine-1-oxide (DAPO), a precursor to an insensitive energetic compound.

The original route to DAPO included challenges of starting material decomposition and impurity formation. A description of the kinetic model used to optimize the reaction will be presented. Modeling was also utilized for evaluation of manufacturing options, and an analysis of batch versus continuous processes will be highlighted.

The webinar will start at 16.30 Central Europe, 15.30 London/Dublin, 10.30 US Eastern, 09.30 US Central, 07.30 US Pacific.
