JOHN MCNICHOLAS / SARAH DONNER / BARB CARBON

****************************************************************

Sarah Donner

Sarah Donner is an alt pop singer/songwriter who has embraced her inner cat lady. Her songs teeter back and forth between playful, nerd core, and ballads, all tied together with bright melodies and driving, energetic instrumentals. Sarah Donner’s music has been featured on Conan O'Brien's blog, NPR, Buzzfeed, i09, Showtime, and CBS. "Sarah Donner and the Sleepy Kitten" and "The Motherf**cking Pterodactyl Song" (co-written with The Oatmeal) catapulted Sarah into weblebrity status with over four million views on YouTube alone.

Sarah Donner is a graduate of Westminster Choir College. After stretching her legs with musical theatre, she picked up a guitar, abandoned her classical roots, and started rocking out (with fantastic breath support). When she is not touring, Sarah Donner fosters kittens, teaches privately, and paints portraits.

John McNicholas

John McNicholas is a singer/songwriter and photographer based in Atlanta, GA. He’s honed his writing talents by writing, performing and releasing albums with alternative favorites like Supervisor of the Loveless Average, The Low Days, The Good Graces, The Yum Yum Tree, Spiller, Lie, Misfortune 500 and others. Currently he's working on a new project entitled, The Sunset District.

He considers himself and unlikely songwriter in that his songs are character sketches of his life and the lives of people and friends around him. He doesn't so much write, as he observes and records his thoughts with music. His songs can be as awkwardly personal as those by Juliana Hatfield, as tongue-in-cheek as those by Fountains of Wayne and Ben Folds and as vivid and descriptive as those by Pete Yorn and Dean Wareham (Luna).

John mines a sound nestled somewhere between Fountains of Wayne, the Wallflowers,Ryan Adams and Pete Yorn. John has performed at WMNFs Tropical Heatwave, IPO New York, the In the Raw concert series and has have opened shows for a number of diverse artists like Marilyn Manson, Fastball, Cyndi Lauper, Superchunk, G Love, and Patti Smith

Barb Carbon

Barb Carbon is a folk/roots-rock musical artist from Georgia, USA. She performs as a solo act, as well as with her musical partner, Arrie Bozeman, in the band The Ain’t Sisters. Carbon’s influences are rooted in the beautifully raw, gritty sounds of Shovels and Rope, The Avett Brothers, and Lucinda Williams, and the earnest, inspired songwriting of Patty Griffin, The Indigo Girls, and Brandi Carlile, among others.

Barb makes music that is as accessible as it is personal. A masterful poet, Carbon is able to strip away the layers of her own experience, exposing the nerve and laying her finger on the emotional essence of our shared struggles and hopes.

Boldy exploring genres, she delivers her art dressed with a punk rock edge, an alt-country drawl, or the trappings of kick drum-driven Americana, but at the core of her diverse catalogue beats the heart of folk music, which has always existed for the same reason - to tell our truth.

Carbon has two forthcoming albums. Marrow, the debut release from The Ain’t Sisters arrives in Atlanta November 23, 2018 and world-wide January 11, 2019, while her solo debut, The Fighter, is due out in late spring 2019.
