La Cultura Cura is a transformative health, learning, justice, and healing philosophy that recognizes that within individuals’, families’ and communities’ authentic cultural values, traditions and indigenous practices exist the path to healthy development, restoration and lifelong well-being.

This health and wellbeing framework focuses on building on the natural opportunity factors and on what is healthy within an individual, family, community or culture. This indigenous based life view promotes what is right, based on culturally grounded physical, emotional, mental and spiritual principles and practices.

The National Compadres Network (NCN) is a national effort whose focus is the reinforcement of the positive involvement of Latino males in the lives of their families, communities, and society. As a non-profit, 501 c-3 organization, since its inception, NCN has focused its efforts on the healing, developing and reinforcing of Latino boys and men based through the development of “circulos” (extended kinship networks). As a result of the overwhelming need locally and nationally, the National Latino Fatherhood & Family Institute (NLFFI) was launched.

NLFFI serves as NCN's policy, advocacy and training arm to assist national and community organizations develop and implement programs that resonate with Latino families and communities. The NCN-NLFFI partnership facilitates trainings and provision of technical assistance that highlight services and interventions that better serve Latino youth, men, and families.
