Description

The Sand Springs Regional Behavior Training is presented by funds from the Oklahoma State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) in the Oklahoma State Department of Education and in partnership with the Oklahoma Parents Center (OPC). This training is also hosted by Sand Springs Public Schools with special thanks to Dr. Renee Cowan and her staff at the Sand Springs Early Childhood Education Center.

The training will be conducted by Dr. Mary Ann Shepherd, a school psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). These trainings are designed for counselors, school psychologists, special educators, and behavior interventionists. Lunch will be provided by the Oklahoma Parents Center (OPC). More detailed information regarding session summaries is located beneath the agenda.

AGENDA (subject to change):

8:00-8:30AM- Registration

8:30-11:30AM- Function Based Interventions

Function Based Interventions will discuss the behavior intervention process, behavioral assessments and data collection, replacement behaviors, behavioral interventions, and modifying interventions when needed.

11:30-12:15PM- Lunch provided by the Oklahoma Parents Center (OPC)

12:15-2:15PM- Intensive Interventions

Intensive Interventions will provide information on the instructional planning and most effective instructional practices for students with disabilities and the most intensive instructional needs.

Please plan on attending both the morning and afternoon sessions.
