Description
Hosted at Folk, a sanctuary restaurant in Detroit’s historic neighborhood of Corktown, a collective of small business owner's in food and beverage, journalism, creative arts, event planning, music, literature and more are coming together to promote their shared ideal of sanctuary communitiy spaces.
The event will celebrate the diversity of loves form - parents and children, siblings, gender identifying, gender neutral, LGBTQ individuals, friends and singles - through sensory experiences with food, beverage and environment. This will be a ticketed event for a potential two seating’s, 20 guests each, on Thursday Feb 14th starting at 600pm.
Guests will enjoy a 5 coursed dinner, paired beverage offerings, storytelling, curated music, stunning floral and décor, keepsake’s and more! All proceeds from this dinner will be donated to Restaurant Opportunity Center (ROC) United - Sanctuary Restaurants program. The program offers support and resources to restaurant workers, employers and consumers impacted by hostile policies and actions, including immigrants, Muslims, LGBTQI people and others.
