Event description

Description

Join us for an urban walk exploring the southwest Berkeley neighborhood around San Pablo Park, Berkeley's oldest park.

A historic African American neighborhood, southwest Berkeley features the city’s most quirky house, the home of civil rights leader William Byron Rumford, and the Santa Fe railroad right-of-way, as well as spectacular street trees and diverse architecture. This walk is featured in the new edition of Berkeley Walks, co-authored by hike leader Janet Byron and Bob Johnson.
