Join Gena Kirby for a 4 hour workshop where you will learn about the history of the rebozo. I will share how midwives in Mexico have used it for centuries to provide comfort relaxation and strength to women in labor. The class is broken up into three parts. There will be a break for 45 minutes for lunch. We will go over how to encourage a malpositioned baby to move, and how to empower the birth partner. The rebozo brings everyone participating in labor together.
Expect plenty of laughter and some tears as we journey together in this workshop celebrating the history and wisdom of the rebozo.
What Midwives Are Saying About The Workshop _
“I attended Gena’s Comfort Measures in Labor Using the Rebozo this evening and LOVED it! I’ve known that the rebozo could be useful in labor but I had no idea just how many uses it had. Gena helped me double the tools in my doula “tool box” in a little more than an hour and I can’t wait to use them at my next birth! I’m grateful for the ebook she provides as well so that if I forget anything she taught or I’m feeling stumped, I can just pull out my phone and use the ebook as reference when I’m at a birth. Thank you, Gena, it was great!” -Mandy Jeffries, Doula, Dallas Georgia
“Just took Gena Kirby’s Rebozo class and wow. Invaluable info for any doula, anyone who works with childbirth and for any couple.”-Stacey Wooster, Doula, Austin Texas
