San Juan Unified's Principal for a Day 2015!
Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM (PDT)
This event is now closed!
If you are interested in registering for Principal for a Day, please contact Kim Minugh at email@example.com or call her at (916) 971-7611.
We are pleased to announce that we will host our fifth-annual Principal for a Day event on Oct. 21 and invite you to join in this wonderful eperience!
Our goal is to foster lasting partnerships between our schools and area leaders that are beneficial to our students, our schools and our community. We are looking for business owners, influential community members, religious leaders and advocates for youth who have a passion for improving our schools and supporting our students.
As a Principal for a Day volunteer, you are invited to take over the role of principal for the morning by actively participating in the school’s administration and interacting with both students and teachers. At noon, volunteer and host principals from throughout the district will attend a luncheon to celebrate the morning and reflect on our newly formed relationships. (Please note, this year's luncheon will be held at the Mack Powell Event Center, 2003 Howe Ave., Sacramento.)
Volunteers will be assigned to an available school. We will accept requests for a specific school, but we cannot guarantee placement at that school. We also do not place volunteers at school sites where their children or family members are enrolled.
The day's start time depends on the assigned school's schedule. We will contact you once assignments are made shortly before the event.
We strongly believe that the health of San Juan Unified depends greatly on the connections we build and maintain between our schools and our greater community. Please join us Oct. 21 as we cultivate those bonds! For more information, please call (916) 979-8281.
