What is a Behavior Skills Therapist?
A Behavior Skills Therapist is someone who is trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), understands the basic learning principles and applies that knowledge to improve the lives of those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. No experience is necessary; Trumpet offers extensive training to all newly hired Therapists.
What training is provided?
You will go through approximately 30 to 40 hours of paid training in your first week, using a mix of online modules and in-class training sessions. In addition, you will shadow other Therapists on the job and participate in real-time therapy with our clients.
Who are the clients?
We are proud to work with a wide variety of individuals. Typically you will be working with those between the ages of 18 months to 6 years old who are diagnosed with ASD. We also provide service to clients whose age ranges up to 22 in some locations.
