We invite you to join us on our environmental justice tour led by EJ grassroots community leaders.

About this Event

Dear Agency Staff and Elected Officials,

Greenaction for Health and Environmental Justice, Central California Environmental Justice Network, El Pueblo Para el Aire y Agua Limpia/People for Clean Air and Water of Kettleman City, The Latino Equity Advocacy & Policy Institute (formerly Valley LEAP), and Kings IVAN invite you to join us on an environmental justice tour on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

Funding for the tour has been provided by CalEPA's Environmental Justice Enforcement and Training Account Grant Program, which is targeted to providing funds to train environmental regulators, including on environmental justice issues.

This tour will be led by grassroots leaders and will visit frontline communities impacted by a wide range of stationary and mobile pollution sources.

START LOCATION

The tour will begin at 12:30 pm in Fresno: 4991 E McKinley Ave. Fresno CA 93727 (corner of Fresno and McKinley, parking lot next to Carl's Jr)

TOUR SCHEDULE

12:45 pm Bus departs Fresno and tours Malaga, Calwa and South Fresno.

3:30 pm Bus arrives and tours Kettleman City

5 pm Dinner break (stay tuned for details)

6:30 pm Kings IVAN Community Meeting at Kettleman City Community Building

The bus will depart Kettleman City at 8 pm and return to Fresno.

The Kings IVAN is part of the statewide IVAN Network (Identifying Violations Affecting Neighborhoods). The Task Force is a multi-stakeholder problem solving collaboration to protect health by reducing pollution in vulnerable, at risk communities.
