Please join us for the Opening Preview Gala of the San Francisco Tribal & Textile Art Show at Fort Mason. This annual event is considered the premier tribal art event in North America. Your participation helps support the de Young’s collection of textile art and arts from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.

Along with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by McCalls Catering & Events, the Opening Preview Gala will also feature the following, presented in celebration of Indonesia, the show's featured country in 2017:

  • Live performances by Gamelan Sekar Jaya, an ensemble of Balinese musicians and dancers
  • Indonesian cuisine by Lime Tree
  • A display of rare textiles, on loan from the Jakarta Textile Museum
  • Artist demonstrations of traditional Indonesian fabric-dyeing techniques

THERE ARE FOUR DISTINCT LEVELS OF SUPPORT:

Benefactor Circle $1,500 ($1,200 tax deductible)

  • Six gala tickets, including a cocktail reception and exclusive preview from 5 to 6 pm
  • Two tickets, including priority seating, to Coastal Connections: A Mini-Symposium on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the de Young
  • Recognition on event-related printed materials
  • Unlimited daily admission to the Tribal & Textile Arts Show

Patron Circle $1,000 ($800 tax deductible)

  • Four gala tickets, including a cocktail reception and exclusive preview from 5 to 6 pm
  • Recognition on event-related printed materials
  • Unlimited daily admission to the Tribal & Textile Arts Show

Donor Circle $500 ($400 tax deductible)

  • Two gala tickets, including a cocktail reception and exclusive preview from 5 to 6 pm
  • Recognition on event-related printed materials
  • Unlimited daily admission to the Tribal & Textile Arts Show

Individual $150 ($100 tax deductible)

  • One gala ticket
  • Unlimited daily admission to the Tribal & Textile Arts Show

Upper-level supporters will be able to catch an early glimpse of the fair during an exclusive preview hour from 5 to 6 pm.
