First Presentation Topic: Developing Applications in Office 365 SharePoint Online

SP Marketplace started building applications for multi-tenant SharePoint environments in 2011. Today they have over 200 organizations using their business applications. With the advent of Office 365 SharePoint Online, many organizations are moving to the cloud, but many are confused over what can and cannot be done with SharePoint Online. This presentation will cover what limitations there are, how they got around them, and they will provide examples of business applications built for a SharePoint Online environment. Application examples will include an Intranet Portal, Employee Self-Service, HR and IT Help Desk.

Speaker bio:

Darrell Trimble, CEO SP Marketplace - Darrell is a 30 year veteran of the software industry. He was on the founding executive team in several successful companies including Veritas Software, Vignette and Commerce One. Over the last 7 years, he has been focused on SharePoint applications as a partner in Crow Canyon Systems and most recently as founder of SharePoint Marketplace.
