San Francisco Ben’s Beginners™ Cooking Contest Kickoff!

WHO:

San Francisco celebrity Chef Chris Cosentino, Registered Dietitian Rachel Begun and the UNCLE BEN’S® Brand will be hosting local children and their parents. RSVPs are taken on a first come, first served basis for up to 30 families.

We welcome kids from K-8th grade.

WHAT:

Learn to cook a healthy rice-based dish created by Chef Chris Cosentino, get tips for your family to eat better and cook together from Registered Dietitian Rachel Begun, and learn how your family can enter to win $15,000 and $30,000 towards a cafeteria makeover at your child’s school with the Third Annual Ben’s Beginners™ Cooking Contest. You’ll get to prepare and eat a nutritious dish with the help of both Chris and Rachel!

WHY:

San Francisco is one of five cities across the nation where we’re kicking off our Third Annual Ben’s Beginners™ Cooking Contest, a movement to inspire healthy lifelong eating habits by getting children interested in cooking at an early age. Designed to empower parents to connect with their children one meal at a time, the contest aims to make cooking an enjoyable activity that brings famies together and gives children a healthy beginning in life. You’ll learn more about how to enter the contest, as well as come away with some goodies for participating.
