Event description

Description

Canada is one of San Diego's largest trade and investment partners, and Vancouver is its most forward looking city, creating more jobs than any other Canadian metro while retaining a superb quality of life.

Like San Diego, Vancouver has made bold commitments on climate action: with the city’s Greenest City Action Plan winning the C40 Cities Award at the Paris Climate summit in 2015, positioning Vancouver as a global thought leader on urban innovation.

The Vancouver Economic Commission and a delegation of 20+ business and civic leaders from San Diego invite you to a panel discussion that highlights how the two regions grow their green economies and support local and international businesses.

VIPs:

  • The Honorable Kevin Faulconer, Mayor, City of San Diego
  • The Honorable Lynne Platt, Consul General, U.S. Consulate in Vancouver

Moderator:

  • Ian McKay, CEO, Vancouver Economic Commission

Speakers include:

  • Jason Anderson, President & CEO at Cleantech San Diego
  • Erik Caldwell, Director of Economic Development, City of San Diego
  • Bryan Buggey, Director of Strategic Initiatives and Sector Development, Vancouver Economic Commission
  • Yehudi "Gaf" Gaffen, CEO, Gafcon
  • Neil Huff, Managing Director at Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre
