Description

Aia ka ʻoʻoleʻa o ka pāpaʻi i ka niho.

The strength of the crab is in the claw (ʻŌlelo Noʻeau #53).

It is with great excitement and pride that we are now offering Samoan crab for sale! These invasive crustaceans were introduced from Samoa in the 1940's and now inhabit most of our estuarine (where streams meet the ocean) waters in Hawaii. They are invasive in our fishpond and compete for space and resources with our other smaller native crabs. So each purchase of a Samoan crab helps us improve the fishpond environment AND puts some ʻono food on your table. Mahalo!! Now on to the important stuff . . . . . . .

How Does It Work?

- Click on the green "Register" button and add your name and email address.

- You are now on our sales list and will be contacted when it is your turn to purchase a crab.

- About once per month we will take the the top 20 names and notify them of the upcoming sale.

- Each person may purchase only 1 crab. Crab is $10/lb. Once you buy a crab, you can put your name back on the list.

So it's pretty simple. This list will be populated on a "first come, first serve" basis. Sign up and wait for us to get back in touch with you. And no be greedy, ah??? Get planny room on this list, just sign up and good things come to those who wait! Mahalo for your patience and aloha in this process as we work to share food from this special fishpond to our community.
