Event description

Description

Lucia from Healing Hands will be hosting A Cacao Ceremony of Life & Death in Guernsey on Sunday 29th October to celebrate Samhain!

In this ceremony we will celebrate life and death. Celebrating those we have loved and lost, and letting go of any last grief we may be holding onto.

In this Cacao Ceremony I will be adding the Samhain Herb Mogwart to the brew to aid in divination, regulate menstrual cycles for the ladies, insomnia & to help heal feelings of regret.

Samhain is not associated with evil or negativity. It is a time to reaffirm our belief in the oneness of all spirits, and in our firm resolution that physical death is not the final act of existence.

Come and join us.
Empower yourself.
Find your inner God/Goddess.

Cacao is a powerful plant medicine that has been used ceremonially for thousands of years across Central and South America. It's active ingredient - Theobromine, is translated as 'Food of the Gods', and the people of ancient Meso-America attributed a sacred status to Cacao and would drink it ceremonially to commune with their gods. The Maya believed that the ka'kau' was discovered by the gods in a mountain that also contained other delectable foods. According to Mayan Mythology Hunahpú gave Cacao to the Maya after humans were created from maize by the divine grandmother goddess Ixmucané. The word Cacao originated from the Maya word Ka'kau', as well as the Maya words Chocol’ha, and the verb chokola'j " to drink chocolate together.

What we offer is a modern day Cacao ceremony to commune with our inner 'god/goddess.' We drink Cacao in ceremony to reconnect with our deep inner guidance. Using guided meditation we journey deep within to discover more about ourselves, release negative blockages and find peace and clarity. Cacao doesn’t take you out of your body, and is not psycho-active but some people can have clear visions. It all depends on an individuals extra sensory perception, and how cacao works best with you.

A Cacao Ceremony gives us time for ourselves in a hectic and stressful world. It is the perfect space to switch off the outside chaos and journey into the silence, so that we can become clearer of who we are, where we are going, and the opportunities available to us.

Whether you are looking for help shifting an emotional blockage, needing to let go of a past experience, dissolve negative energy or you simply want to lift your spirits, these ceremonies can provide the focus you need to re-align with who you really are, and get back on track.

If you are to attend this ceremony then I ask you to take it seriously, make sure you arrive 15 mins before the start time & make sure you abide to the rules that I set before hand. If you do not abide by the rules then you do so at your own risk:

- Please make me aware if you are on ANY medication at all & those who are on any SSRI'S, Anti-Depressents, Anxieties, Sleepers, herb allergies or pregnancy as you will not be allowed a full Shamanic dose & only a small amount.

- Strictly No Coffee or Caffeine based drinks or drugs for the whole day (if you do you risk getting a migraine)

- No Food, Drinks, Drugs or Alcohol for at least 2 hours prior to the Cacao, the less you stomach has in it, the better the Cacao can work.

- You will all need to bring a pillow, blanket, yoga mat, water drinking bottle & very importantly a journal to write your journeys & experiences down in during the ceremony. Comfort is essential as you will be taken on a near 2 hour journey with Cacao!

- If you say you are attending, then please make sure you attend. I do not want to be mixing up the Cacao brew, putting the intentions & Icaros into the Cacao & someone decide an hour before they cannot come, Cacao does not work in that way & it will disrupt the entire process. Same goes with leaving early, you have to stay for the entire ceremony & cannot leave early as the circle must be closed with everyone in it.

I know it sounds very strict., but it needs to be for the respect of the Cacao, myself & others participating in the ceremony.

Just remember - The best investment you will ever make in life will be on yourself! I look forward to spending this special time with those who are meant to be... Lucia x
