Description

Join Seattle Arts Leadership Team in discussing What We Made by Tom Finkelpearl, a book of interviews.

If you’re unable to purchase the book, the Office of Arts & Culture will have 4 copies available to borrow. Please e-mail Payton.Bordley@seattle.gov if you would like to borrow a copy.

A few words about the book:

“These conversations by key practitioners and thinkers are a snapshot of thinking around the emergence of social and collaborative art, which seeks to improve society and address social issues. Finkelpearl ably situates collaborative and participatory art within the chronology of American art history.”

-Toro Castaño Library Journal

The Office of Arts & Culture and several community stakeholders recently launched the Seattle Arts Leadership Team (SALT), a program housed under the Americans for the Arts’ Emerging Leaders Network. SALT connects emerging arts leaders (what we’re calling artists and arts administrators who are relatively new to the field) to professional development opportunities. Request to join the email list by emailing payton.bordley@seattle.gov.

Accessibility is a priority for the Office of Arts & Culture and we can make disability-related accommodations as needed. Please email arts.culture@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-7372 for specific requests. We’d appreciate at least one week’s notice, but will try to work with you on shorter notices as well.
