Event description
The Saloon Pilots return to the Atherton Performing Arts Studio for an evening of American roots and bluegrass music.

About this Event

The Saloon Pilots are:

Lesley Kline - Fiddle/Vocals: Having developed her formidable skills by performing in Paris for eleven years in bluegrass and mariachi bands, Lesley brings a creative touch of bluegrass, Irish, old-time and rock to the Saloon Pilots' sound.

Paul Sato - 5-String Banjo/Vocals: His innovative and contemporary approach to the 5-string banjo adds a broad palette of songs and stylings while paying homage to traditional instrumentation.

Matt Milette-Winfree - Guitar/Vocals: A powerhouse vocalist and guitar player, his voice brings impressive feeling and believe-ability to the songs he performs. Truly, a voice to be reckoned with!

Mark Ransom - Bass/Vocals: The rock n' roll specialist of the band, who brings a contemporary edge to the songs and arrangements, whether it's traditional country music or a Chuck Berry tune.

Spencer Lathrop - Drums: The "Keeper of Solid Time" who plays deftly to compliment even the most sensitive acoustic songs in the band's repertoire.

This performance is part of HPR's Atherton Winter Concert Series, which runs through February 14. Atherton shows offer an intimate listening experience, where there's nothing between you and the music. View the complete season lineup.

Sponsored by The Rice Partnership.

Select Atherton performances are rebroadcast on Applause In a Small Room, which airs Sundays at 4 p.m. on HPR-1.
