Event description

Description

Join us for a day in the trees!

It’s an experience that few in the world have had – sitting atop a mighty Doug fir or cedar while looking out over a sweeping valley of uncut old-growth canopies. Now is your chance to see for yourself and support a good cause in the process!

On Friday July 26th, we'll head to the Mt. Hood National Forest to experience old-growth giants and a pristine native forest. Using non-invasive methods, expert tree climbers from Expedition Old Growth (EOG) will lead us in a unique exploration of the canopy life that is so important to the health of the ancient forest. For this adventure, you will be utilizing the elevator ascending method to experience the upper reaches of the trees.

The cost to sign up for this all-day experience aids our EOG guides, who are there to ensure we have a safe and incredible ride into the canopy and back. Additionally, our friends at EOG are generously kicking back 10% of the registration proceeds to Oregon Wild, so we can continue our work to protect and restore Oregon's ancient forests statewide. Early bird pricing ends May 24th, so sign up now to lock in a great rate!

Don't miss this incredible opportunity to explore (and help protect) Oregon's majestic old-growth forests.

** please note: this climb is best suited for participants ages 5-65. Exceptions can be made, so please reach out directly with questions. Our harnesses can accommodate participants up to 250 lbs, with a waist size between 26-36"**
