Event description

Description

You are invited to view this important documentary film to learn why the U.S. military is preparing for a climate-changed future.

This film investigates the impacts of climate change through the lens of U.S. national security and global stability.

Watch as distinguished admirals, generals and pentagon insiders show us how water and food shortages, extreme weather, drought, and sea-level rise will continue to grow in scale and frequency, with grave implications for peace and security in the 21st century.

October 24 in Salinas, Steinbeck Hall on the campus of Hartnell College, Central Avenue, Salinas.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

  • Introduction 6:30-6:45 p.m.
  • Film 6:45-8:00 p.m.
  • Q & A 8:00-8:30 p.m.

This film is a call to action to rethink how we use and produce energy.

The bad news: extreme weather, drought, and sea level rise, are among the threats we face here at home. The good news: we have solutions but we must act now.
