Something Special For All Ages!
The 9th Annual Salida Riverside Art and Music Festival is an annual premier art and music event. Enjoy a weekend of juried national and local artists and live music stage featuring our non profit partner Wounded Warrior Music Program (a division of Colorado School of Rock). Fine art in twelve categories from traditional to contemporary including distinctive and creative jewelry, painting, ceramics, sculpture, wearable clothing, fibers, leathers, photography and more.
The live music stage features the Wounded Warrior Band with CSR founder and bassist Jac Mihanovic. Jac's recording and performance credits include Ray Charles, Steve Vai, Taj Mahal, Robert Fripp, Little Richard and Tower of Power just to name a few. The Wounded Warrior Band performs their Motown Rock and Soul Revue set featuring lead vocalist Paula Compton (Buddy Miles, Louie Belson, Buddy Rich). The Wounded Warrior Music Program is designed to help our military men and women return to domestic life through the healing power of music.
More great music with Milo Hayes Meld, a jazz, funk, 'grass, throwdown, Band On The Fence, Ponder The Albatross, Tullis Blues, Doc & Kit, Ceruleus and more.
Enjoy a face painting and free Creation Station For All Ages - create your own masterpiece! All this and more on the banks of the great Arkansas River, at one of Colorado's most delightful vacation destinations with world class rafting, fly fishing, and clean river beaches.
Delicious foods from our Phat Fahita and Big Daddy Dogs and shaded picnic tables with a nearby playground and sandy volleyball court. Bring the family, leashed dogs, and enjoy a summer weekend of art, music and fun - free parking and free admission! Plan to play and stay at one of Salida's great lodging hosts.
