NOTE: You should be a registered active student, early career job seeker or faculty with a university or workforce development program to qualify for this course.

COST: Course is free, online and does not require in-person attendance. REQUIRES 6-8 hours of online Trailhead work per week for 4 weeks and attending ALL FOUR instructor session calls, with a kick-off video to start.

The Salesforce Fundamentals for Business Administrators course and Business Admin Specialist Superbadge, are a surefire way to set out on your Salesforce customer success platform journey! If you are completely new to Salesforce, this course and related exam provide foundational knowledge and the validation to kick-start your career.

The online course teaches you the business value of each Salesforce application, basics of the security and data access model, fundamentals of user management, the phases of a Salesforce implementation, business process automation, reporting requirements and considerations, Salesforce best practices, data management and extending Salesforce.

The Business Fundamentals course will be a mix of self-paced Trailhead modules and instructor-led Q&A sessions. Over the four weeks, students will complete various Trailhead modules and hands-on challenges and then participate in a live Q&A session at the end of each week to recap and ask any questions.

  • Includes overviews of Salesforce clouds and key functionality

  • Support day-to-day business operations with basic platform functions

  • Manage users and data, customize objects

  • Create reports, dashboards, emails and templates

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?

Anyone who uses Salesforce to support their day-to-day business. Some example roles are business analysts, sales and support managers, office managers, sales operations staff – people who need foundational knowledge of the core capabilities of Salesforce applications. These business specialists are typically power users and champions of Salesforce within their team and they often provide first line support for their local region or team.

Because this is an online and self-paced course, students can be located anywhere at any academic organization. Students should expect to spend about 6-8 hours per week completing the course work and live session. This course is taught by Salesforce industry experts and users from the Trailblazer Community who can share their career experience with Salesforce.
