Description

Robert Carr: A triumphant entrepreneurial story about life, business, and giving back.

Registration: 4:00 p.m.
Presentation: 4:30 p.m.
Reception: 5:30 p.m.

Saint Louis Bank is pleased to present a moving story in both life and business. Robert Carr experienced decades of struggle that took him to the brink of home foreclosure at age fifty. He would later rise to become CEO of Heartland Payment Systems, a Fortune 1000 company and the 5
th largest payment processing company in the U.S.

In 2009, after one of the most devasting data breaches in ever, he almost lost everything. Daring to go public about the breach, this remarkable display of integrity saved the company and helped return it to prosperity. His incredible financial success after selling Heartland in 2016 allowed him to keep a promise to underprivileged youth.

Today, though his Give Something Back Foundation, he remains on pace to pay college costs for some 1,500 students. CNBC’s Jim Cramer said of Mr. Carr, “memo to all executives who have something bad happen, take his approach, it gets you right back in the game.”
