Dr. Wright tackles issues of faith and depression, the stigmas of mental illness and the role telling your story plays in healing.

About this Event

Originally from Jamaica, she has lived and studied worldwide. Dr. Wright has a Ph.D is Performance Studies from New York University. She is a graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Sociology and Afro American Studies (magna cum laude), and has her Master's degree in Anthropology from Cambridge University, England. She is married to the Rt. Rev. Robert C. Wright, Bishop, Diocese of Atlanta and they have five children. A former college professor at NYU and Spelman College, Dr. Wright currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychiatry, at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Wright will be available after the event to sign her books.
