Event description
Italy's most local food tradition is coming to Chicago, with guest chef Jason Hammel for a day of feasting and celebration at Tortello.

About this Event

If you ever want to experience the heart of Italy, find yourself a local sagra -- a no-frills small-town festival with folk music, dancing and of course - food! Most sagre center around a particular culinary tradition, and ours celebrate winter seasonal Italian ingredients.

Join owner Dario Monni, executive chef Duncan Biddulph and Lula Cafe's Jason Hammel as our guest chef for more than a meal -- a taste of Italy's soul, featuring rustic specialties like "sfoglia invernale" & porchetta, along with seasonal salads, spaghetti in a wheel of parmigiano reggiano, sorbetto and wine.

Italian folk band La Tosca will bring the spirit of the sagra, and a portion of proceeds will benefit Chef Hammel's non-profit, Pilot Light, in their heroic efforts to educate and feed local children-in-need.
