Session description

This is an online training session for SAGE Business Cases, designed to give you a quick and simple introduction to this fantastic database. SAGE Business Cases is a collection of over 3,000 teaching case studies that inspire researchers to develop their own best practices and prepare for professional success. These business cases, tailored to library needs, provide librarians, faculty, and students with cases to support their curriculum and independent research.

The current available sessions are: Thursday 21st March 2019, 3pm-4pm GMT, Tuesday 30th April 2019 10am-11am BST, Wednesday 22nd May 2019, 1pm-2pm BST, and Tuesday 18th June 2019, 3pm-4pm BST.

The webinar is open to anyone to attend – library staff, faculty members, researchers, and students – whether you're simply curious to find out more, your institution is currently on a trial, or you already have a subscription and want an introduction or some refresher training. The webinar will cover:

Introduction to the SAGE Business Cases platform, and session outline

  • SAGE Business Cases content, and how this is selected and produced
  • The SAGE Business Cases editorial process

SAGE Business Cases platform demonstration

  • Navigating around the SAGE Business Cases
  • Personalisation options - saved searches, and reading lists
  • Browsing and Searching for Cases

Accessing and using teaching notes

  • What are teaching notes?
  • How can I access them?
  • How can they be used in teaching and learning?

Session round-up, Q&A

Registration and joining details

Simply choose your preferred session date using the drop-down menu above and register by completing all the mandatory fields. Upon registering for your preferred date, you will receive an automatic email containing all the joining details for the webinar. The webinar is held via WebEx and will be recorded. We recommend you connect using a headset for an optimal audio experience.

If you are unable to attend a session but would like to receive a copy of the recording, please sign up as usual to the next event date, and tick the box labelled "Recording only". This way, we can email you the recording after the session, but we know not to expect you at the live event!
