Description

This educational series about keeping kids safe online is specifically for parents. Experts will cover specific topics related to online safety, crime prevention, medical and psychological effects of screen time, and provide tools and resources.

October 1, 6:30-8pm: Teach your kids how to be safe online - a presentation by Detective Rob Fowler, Ada County Sheriff's Office, Attorney General, Internet Crimes Task Force.

October 15, 6:30-8pm: Help kids navigate the emotional minefield online - Vashti Summervill
PCI Certified Parent Coach ®, Independent Educational Consultant (Therapeutic), Certified Teacher

October 29, 6:30-8pm: How screen time effects development - presented by Dr. Noreen Womack, Pediatric MD of St. Luke's.

November 12, 6:30-8pm: Tools to help parents monitor kid's online use - resources from Dana Miller, Forensic Investigator Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

Do I have to attend all sessions? No, you can attend any or all of the sessions of interest to you. Please register for the sessions you wish to attend.

Will there be childcare? No, we aren't able to offer childcare for this series.

Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the event? Due to the content, it is recommended that only parents or adults attend.
