Brian Owens, Risk Control Manager – Lovitt & Touché

Brian has over 10 years of Risk and Safety experience. He has worked within several industries including mining, construction, pipeline, oil & gas, manufacturing, and fabrication.

Brian’s expertise lies in hazard and risk assessment, safety cultural development, behavior based safety, MSHA/OSHA compliance and EHS Management Systems (ISO, OHSAS). He is also skilled in the area of workplace safety auditing, safety procedure and policy development, supervisor development, employee training and safety incentive programs.

Brian conceptualized Lovitt & Touché’s Inversion Risk Management philosophy and has authored the newly released book Inversion and the Perspective-Based Safety Culture.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in occupational safety and health from Columbia Southern University.
