Event description
FREE Suicide Prevention Training

About this Event

Training is provided by the Reach UR Life (RUL) Youth Suicide Prevention Program with the Native Americans for Community Action, Inc. (NACA)

safeTALK is a half-day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive. safeTALK-trained helpers can recognize these invitations and take action by connecting them with life-saving intervention resources.

Attendees who are 15-17 years old will need parental consent to attend the training. Contact the RUL Training Coordinator to request and complete a consent form before the training begins.

Registration is required, seating limited to 20 attendees.

Training will be held in the Accelerator Conference Room, Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NACET) building.

NACA RUL reserves to cancel the training if there are less than 10 attendees.
