Safe & Inclusive Schools (SAIS) - Core Training

The Safe and Inclusive Schools (SAIS) program supports ACT teachers and schools to create inclusive and affirmative learning environments for LGBTIQA+ students.

• Support to implement best-practice inclusion policies and practices.
• Support for schools to respond to specific student needs.
• Practical advice on how to practice inclusion in your classroom and schools.
• Two course options: Core Training and Extension Training.

SAIS Core Training (3 hours)

• Introduction to SAIS
• Sex, Gender, Sexuality and School
• Inclusive Practice Principles
• Applying Principles in the Classroom
• Practice scenarios

Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT (SHFPACT) deliver this training free to ACT teachers with the support of the ACT Government.
