Being a parent is never something that should be done in isolation. However, there are thousands of families facing crisis in the Central Valley right now: Homelessness, domestic violence, medical emergencies, unemployment, addiction, to name just a few. And sadly, many of these families are facing these situations completely alone and without any support. That is where Safe Families for Children (SFFC) comes in and offers hope. SFFC enables these families in crisis to request that their children be hosted temporarily in a loving and safe home while they seek to get back on their feet. And the amazing part? There is absolutely no cost and the biological family retains full custody of their children while they are in the care of an approved SFFC host family.
SFFC is a beautiful movement of compassion that gives hope to families in crisis. The "Safe Families for Children Story Share" is an opportunity to gather together and hear our host families share stories of opening their homes and hearts to families in crisis. Come and join us while we celebrate the ways that God is using the SFFC movement to create hope and eliminate social isolation in the Central Valley.
