Description

SAFE BLACK SPACE: A Community Healing Circle By and For People of African Ancestry

Racially, these are trying times that weigh on our hearts, minds, and spirits! For Black people, incident after incident of BBQing, driving, working, or simply living while Black can cause racial stress and trauma.

Coming together with other Black people can provide a sense of safety and hope in this increasingly hostile world. Safe Black Space Community Healing Circles are where we unburden ourselves; understand the root causes of our challenges; and engage in personal and community healing as we celebrate who we truly are.

If you identify as Black, register for this FREE event (light refreshments provided) and bring someone with you! Consider this quote: "We have to talk about liberating minds as well as liberating society." Come liberate your mind!

Join community members, African American mental health providers, faith leaders from Sacramento Area Congregations Together, and others at this Safe Black Space Community Healing Circle designed specifically by us and for us.

For more information contact Dr. Kristee Haggins at safeblackspace@gmail.com; visit www.safeblackspace.org; or call (530) 683-5101.

This Safe Black Space Community Healing Circle is hosted by BOSS Church and is dedicated to the memory of Gregory Morrison.
