Shody Henshaw has been in the BBQ business for 25 years. His family owned the famous Mouse's Smokehouse out on 281 North. In recent years, Shody lost most of his family and now carries on the Mouse's name by himself with caterings and special events.
Shody has also been employed with the SAFD going on 16 years. He also is a part time personal trainer and has business ventures in real estate and charity work.
Shody was born and raised in the Bulverde area going to Smithson Valley HS and onto Texas A&M on a football scholarship before succumbing to a knee injury which ended his athletic career. He went on to finish his undergraduate, attended Law School at St. Marys law and eventually worked on his Masters in Public Administration at UTSA.
Shody now resides in Canyon Lake, tx. His wife is disabled due to a brain tumor in 2004. They have a beautiful daughter Shoadi Leigh 9 yrs who attends private school at San Antonio Christian School off Redland Rd.
