Event description

Description

Stanford Africa Entrepreneurship Network (SAEN) invites you to our first Networking Evening, taking place on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at the Bechtel International Center from 6:30 - 9pm. We aim to strengthen our African communities through interaction between our students and professionals in the Bay Area. The evening will be filled with great conversations, captivating cultures and delicious food. YOU are an essential lifeline for our community and we would love to connect.

This event is jointly organized by the Stanford Africa Student Organization (SASA), the Stanford Ethiopian and Eritrean Student Organization (SEESA), the African Business Club (ABC), the Nigerian Student Association (NAIJA) and the Ghanaian Student Association (AKWAABA). Each student group or organization caters to the unique needs and cultures of our African student population. These qualities will be showcased during the event.

Our programming line-up boasts of creative art exhibitions, spoken word, African-inspired icebreakers, music, performance by Stanford Talisman group, and, of course, jokes and plenty of laughter with our hilarious MC.

This event is sponsored by the Billie Achilles Fund, the Bechtel International Center, Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (SEED), the Center for African Studies (CAS), the Graduate Student Council (GSC) and the Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU).
