ONLINE TICKET SALES HAVE ENDED BUT YOU CAN STILL PAY ON THE DAY at the Sacred Heart Church Hall on High Street next to Lucy Cobb (from noon) whilst stocks of Santa Suits and Santa Hats last!
IT'S BACK! Saddleworth Santa Dash and Switch On 2016.
After last year's AMAZING first Santa Dash where over 100 festive souls braved Storm Desmond we have decided to change both the 5km and 2km routes to make them a bit more weatherproof. So this year, we will start and finish in the Square in Uppermill, running down the High Street towards Greenfield, before heading over a lower route than last year via Boarshurst.
The 5km (3.1 miles) route is as follows (much lower than last year).
The 2km route is as follows.
Revolution 96.2 are helping us to host the event this year so we will have a proper stage, with a festive warm-up before the start with Breakfast Show DJ Elliot (from 1pm).
For those who just want to do a shorter fun run with the family or group of friends, before a few mulled wines in the village afterwards to watch the Christmas Lights Switch On and Fireworks, then our flat 2km course is for you. See our facebook page for more details including routes.
Remember all profits from this event go to Saddleworth Round Table Charitable Trust who exist to help smaller charities and good causes in the Oldham and Saddleworth area.
What does my ticket price include?
Adults (over 18) is just £10 which includes a Santa Suit, Beard, Belt and Hat. If you finish you will also receive a commemorative medal.
Juniors (5 to 17) is just £5 which includes a Santa Hat and Medal for all finishers.
Registration and Changing Facilities
Secure dry changing facilities will be provided (see facebook for further details) at the registration area.
Robust footwear is advised - most of the 5km course is on paved or gravel paths, however as this is Saddleworth you can guarantee there will be a muddy stretch somewhere!
See you on the 3rd December! Keep posted to Facebook for more details and updates.
