Description

Sacred Outlook – Tantra for These Times

How do find our home in the world? What sustains us – what are we embodying and offering to others? Do we intuit the innate sacredness of life yet often find ourselves feeling separate, distracted, overwhelmed, out of whack with our bodies, communities, and world? This is everyone’s starting point.

In these monthly meetings, open to all and facilitated by experienced practitioners of Tantric Buddhism, guided meditations and teachings will be offered, and space will be held for an exploratory, mutually respectful group conversation about compassion, devotion, and what’s called ‘sacred outlook’ in the Tantric tradition.

Tantric practices include a vast wealth of inviting resources. We give ourselves permission to experience the innate purity and divinity of our nature. We open our hearts in devotion to sources of support. We may choose to enact a ritual, or enter ‘fires,’ opening to things we normally push away. We might also work with contradictions and conflicts we’ve encountered in navigating this powerful tradition, or explore how sacred outlook intersects with identity, power, and agency in a multitude of ways.

In these Tantric conversations, we hope to develop a community of like-minded practitioners and see what evolves.
