Sacred Doorways: Entering into the Mystery of Icons

An icon is not a painting or piece of art. Rather, it is a vehicle of prayer and contemplation; a window through which one passes to a deeper and more profound unity with God. To gaze upon an icon is to follow a path into a deeper love of the Divine. An icon is written, not painted. Chicago's most prolific author of icons shares with us how icons can transform our lives.
