It's Festivus for the Rest of Us!
Come celebrate Festivus, the holiday made popular on the television show "Seinfeld", with us!
As part of the Festivus festivities, we'll be doing a diaper drive, raffle, and a contest:
Diaper Drive and Raffle - We will be collecting diapers in all sizes for Maryhouse, a daytime hospitality shelter for homeless women and children.
For every pack of diapers you bring to the tweetup,
receive an ADDITIONAL raffle ticket!
We'll be raffling off over $800 worth of prizes, including gift certificates for:
- de Vere's Pub
- Cafeteria 15L
- Bistro Michel
- Monsoon Restaurant
- Residence Inn Marriott
- 3 Fires Lounge
- Doughbot Donuts
- Rominger West Winery
- Velocity Education Solutions
Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest - Pull that Christmas sweater out of the back of the closet and don that apparel for the Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest. A prize will be awarded to the person wearing what Corinne and Henry de Vere White deem to be the most hideous holiday sweater ever seen in the Central Valley.
And for those looking for more traditional Festivus activities, there's the Airing of Grievances! Been disappointed by someone or something over the past year? Tweet your grievances during the event using the hashtag #festivustweetup.
- Families are welcome!
- One raffle ticket per person upon entry to the event.
- Bring photo ID for purchasing alcohol.
Where: de Vere's Pub
When: December 21
Time: 6 - 8 p.m.
**A Tweetup is a "meetup" where you can socialize with other locals in a non-boring environment. While many folks will be using Twitter during the event, you don't have to be on Twitter to come celebrate Festivus!**
