Event description
Join us to hear how outdoor activities impacted Kirstie Ennis's recovery and how the Task Force has impacted neighbors in our community!

About this Event

S2S 2020 (A Salute to Service-Honoring Our Heroes) will be held on March 11, 2020, in the Von Braun Center, North Hall. Special thanks to our presenting sponsors, Boeing and The Dahl Family Foundation.

This event offers our community the opportunity to learn about the Semper Fi Community Task Force and its programs, and how we give back to this great community.

Our guest speaker will be Kirstie Ennis, a Marine helicopter gunner who was medically retired due to injuries inflicted when her helicopter crashed in Afghanistan on June 23, 2012.

After her leg was amputated, Kirstie embraced outdoor activity as a key element in her recovery. In fact, she is on track to scale the Seven Summits (highest peaks on each continent) by 2021!

The Task Force is honored to have Kirstie join us as a guest speaker to share her story and the tremendous impact that outdoor activity, like our Outdoor Adventures program, can have on recovery from serious and traumatic injuries.

We will have a few special guests who will also share how our Task Force programs have impacted them and their communities.
