Description

Nik is a recognized Defensive Tactics and Martial Arts instructor from the US and often published in a variety of magazines, has owned multiple academies, and taught nearly 280 seminars around the globe. Over his 25+ years of Martial Arts experience he has had the opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors out there and carries that knowledge forward into his own teaching where he has worked with elite law enforcement and military special operations.

We have an amazing program lined up covering Control Tactics and Knife Fighting with a special bonus for those that SIGN UP EARLY!!!

TOPICS
- 9:30am - 12:00pm: CONTROL TACTICS - Nik has a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and over a decade of Jeet Kune Do training. Heunderstands that a rear naked choke isn't always the solution for every problem. There are a wide variety of scenarios, ranging from a drunk at bar to preventing someone from inflicting self-harm, that don't require extreme force. Also, in today's world the words "effective" and "legal" aren't necessarily aligned. Nik's years of working with law enforcement help shape efficient drills that will help mitigate the risks.

- 1:00pm - 3:30pm: KNIFE FIGHTING BASICS - In Canada, knife violence is the largest source of homicides in 2015 and were present in 17% of violent crimes. Over the Canada Day weekend 7 people were stabbed in Winnipeg. If you are in Canada and talking about Martial Arts you need to be aware of knives and how to handle them. Bringing his Kali background into the fight, Nik demostrates how to make your own edge weapons far more effective. We will end with a bang letting people play around at the end of the day. Bring your training gear!

- 4:00pm to 5:00pm SPECIAL OFFER - THIRD PARTY PROTECTION - If you sign up by September 15, 2017 we are going to do a "closed-door" session on how to protect another person. This will be exclusive for those that sign up early. We talk about using Martial Arts to protect a family member but how often do we train it? How would you get a loved one out of a bad spot and how do you not become your own liability? We are really excited to be convering this topic since often extracting yourself and others can be as dangerous as the actual danger.
