Raymond Williams reflected that one reason people turn to learning is to help them make sense of, adapt to, or shape processes of societal change. The aim of the 32nd annual Raymond Williams Foundation discussion event, which this year for the first time will take place online, is to explore the role informal community learning could play in helping us more clearly understand how to collectively recover from the current crisis sparked by Covid-19.

Nigel Todd - Nigel Todd is a Newcastle Labour Councillor, chairs the UK Co-operative College and was North East Regional Director of the Workers’ Educational Association.
