RVA Craft Clique - DIY Wood Earrings
Mon, May 1, 2017, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM EDT
For our May RVA Craft Clique meeting, we're making wood earrings that will have everyone asking where you bought them. We'll be using wood shapes, earring findings (studs and ear wires), acrylic paints, Tacky Glue, E6000, plastic gems, a hand crank drill, and basic tools to create one of a kind earring pairs.
The RVA Craft Clique meeting starts at 6:30pm. Show up early to grab a beer or flight of beers, before we get started. This month's project is suitable for older kids through adults.
Reserve a craft kit by buying a ticket, and all your earring making supplies will be provided to you. The finished earrings are yours to keep. You'll have access to wood shapes, earring findings (studs and ear wires), acrylic paints, Tacky Glue, E6000, plastic gems, jump rings, a hand crank drill, basic jewelry tools, paintbrushes, paper towels, water cups, and paper plates (palettes) while at the meeting. These are not take home items, other than your finished earrings of course. Alternatively if you don't have pierced ears, a necklace hanging loop will be provided.
If you already have jewelry making supplies on hand, skip the craft ticket and bring your supplies with you. You'll still have access to paper plates, water cups, and paper towels.
