To raise awareness and visibility for the AAPI community, #Run4AAPI is hosting a virtual fun run between May 1-2 2021. May is also AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Heritage Month!

#Run4AAPI is selling t-shirts (long & short-sleeve options) to participate in this virtual fun run. 100% of profits go DIRECTLY to GoFundMe’s official Support the AAPI Community Fund, to making a huge impact to organizations that amplify AAPI voices, and find ways to empower, uplift, and protect the AAPI community, with initiatives such as increased community safety and support for those affected by violence.

Please note: Any t-shirts that are sold at this time will likely arrive after the May 1-2 2021 virtual fun run event date. However, #Run4AAPI still encourages everyone to purchase shirts and post on social media to continue raising awareness and uplift the AAPI community!

#Run4AAPI is a virtual fun run (run is VERY LOOSELY termed) open to anyone and anywhere at the convenience of the racer. Flexibility is the name of the game: choose any distance, or the standard 5k, 10k, half-marathon, and complete as an indoor or outdoor run, walk, bike, hike, row, or skip - be creative!

How does it work?

1. Sign up here on Eventbrite

2. Purchase a t-shirt (long & short-sleeved) here by April 6, 2021 to have your t-shirt ready for race day (100% of profits go directly to GoFundMe's "Support the AAPI Community Fund.")

3. Consider an additional donation to the "Support the AAPI Community Fund"

4. Share with your family, friends, colleagues, co-workers, classmates, neighbors to get each other involved (maybe even get a group chat going to share training plans?!)

5. Choose when you plan to race: May 1 or May 2 (or maybe both?!) and post your videos & photos of your training progress (and on race day) with the hashtag #Run4AAPI. Tag @run4aapi on Instagram!
